Good morning.
I've been away for a very long time. It is good to see so many of you still on Tribe.net.
Do me a favour and catch up to me privately if we haven't talked in a while. There's a lot going on over here and I'd love to hear from some of you.

Re: Back from the dead
Sun, March 30, 2008 - 1:15 PMwe miss you, Dante!!!!
the scene has changed so much over at the Box and at Revenant, it would be so cool to have you and Polly come party with us again.
Revenant is this week and it's a post apocalytpic theme and should be a lot of fun. I'll buy you a drink if you manage to make it.
warmly, Rick -

Re: Back from the dead
Mon, March 31, 2008 - 1:58 PMHey Rick,
Thanks for the heads up about new events. I don't go to clubs unless I'm invited to DJ or working with a band. These next five months are going to be insane.
One exception I will make is for my friends in the Thrill Kill Kult. www.mylifewiththethrillkillkult.com/newstour/index.html <--- I'm driving and you should come.
Once again, great to see you and glad people are still alive in this town. From my point of view, the more things change, the more things stay the same.

Re: Back from the dead
Mon, March 31, 2008 - 3:37 PMAh, I'd love to see Thrill Kill Kult, but I will be in the middle of a
10 country solo tour of Scandinavia, Germany and the British Isles
while they are on tour here.
I leave May 1st for 9 weeks of headlining gigs. I'm really excited about it.
I'll try and do a warm up show in the third week of April that I'll advertise here at
Tribe if you want to come out and see me perform what I'll be doing on the
tour. Orange Dayglo Plastic goodness........lol -

Re: Back from the dead
Mon, March 31, 2008 - 4:06 PMI should have said that I only make exceptions for the Thrill Kill Kult and the Devolutionary Reticulation of Rick Walker.. you know.. that side-project you were in with Billy Idol's bassist and the guitarist from King Crimson.
But... I guess your solo project will have to do for now!

Re: Back from the dead
Mon, March 31, 2008 - 6:49 PMYeah, Dante, but it was actually Falco's bassist , not Billy Idol's bassist. It was Billy Idol's hairdresser who was a part of the touring
entourage for this mega-super-group (and the reason why I currently own small castles in Paris, London, Stockholm, Santa Cruz and Alviso)
Now, however, thanks to digital techology, I just sampled all of their playing.
Currently, I just trigger the samples by hand and I fired their asses so
for this tour it will be
the ME ME ME ME ME ME, Rick Walker, Solo, ME ME ME ME ME DAS ICH I I I I I I I I ME I ME I ME I ME tour.
I'm celebrating finally getting hold of my ego on this particular tour.
But that's enough about me, George.
What do YOU think about me? -

Re: Back from the dead
Tue, April 1, 2008 - 1:52 PMI stand by my first observation of Rick Walker and the Nebulous Trio...
"This is the best music to listen to while on acid and looking at the shark tank at the Monterey Bay Aquarium."
So are they paying you lots of money for these gigs yet or what?

Re: Back from the dead
Fri, April 4, 2008 - 3:45 AMOf course they are not paying me lots of money for these gigs but they are making it possible for me
to tour in 10 countries with my own idiosyncratic artistry and , for that, I feel blessed.
By the way, I have literally, played two looping gigs in front of the Shark Tank at the Monterey
Bay Aquarium and I also provided the electronic music soundtrack for the documentary video
on the Monterey Sealab. lol, I"ll bet you didn't expect that little piece of trivia.
see you soon, buddy!
